The Whitley County Public Library’s Community Room serves as a dedicated space for educational, cultural, and
community-focused programming. Designed to accommodate a wide range of events, the room provides a comfortable and
flexible environment for lectures, workshops, and special presentations. It is an integral part of the library’s mission
to support lifelong learning and to offer opportunities that enrich the lives of our patrons.
This space also plays a vital role in hosting programs specifically designed for children, teens, and young adults. From early literacy
activities and family-oriented events to teen engagement programs and young adult workshops, the Community Room fosters an environment
that encourages personal growth, creativity, and community involvement. By providing a setting where individuals of all ages can connect
and learn, the Community Room strengthens the library’s role as a hub for knowledge, culture, and community engagement.
In addition to library-sponsored events, the Community Room is available for use by community members and local organizations. Those
interested in reserving the space may do so by contacting the library directly. Guidelines for use, including availability, permitted
activities, and room capacity, are provided to ensure that the space is used in a manner consistent with the library’s mission and policies.
